Sir Jim Ratcliffe has huge plans for Manchester United’s century-old stadium Old Trafford

As reported by The Daily Mail, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has huge plans for Manchester United’s stadium, Old Trafford. The petrochemicals billionaire wants to transform the century-old stadium into the ‘Wembley’ of the north.

Wembley can seat over 90,000 individuals while Old Trafford manages a respectful 74,310. This change could mean that more important matches will be taking place at Manchester United’s home ground in the future.

People are saying that Ratcliffe is in a hurry to make changes to the Red Devils’ organization. While upgrading the squad still holds priority, these new plans for the stadium are also pretty high up INEOS’ list.

Ratcliffe is 71 years old at the moment which could be a major reason behind him being in a ‘hurry’. Transforming Old Trafford will leave behind an almost untouchable legacy for the INEOS man.

It seems like only good days are ahead of Manchester United. The team seems to be covered in positives lately. Everything from their form on the pitch to the news surrounding them gives hope that the Old Trafford squad is heading in the right direction.

A better stadium will attract larger crowds, which in turn will attract more stars to the club in search of fame. Old Trafford has had its days of glory and the time is right for a complete renovation.
