Manchester United midfielder was praised by pundit for his ‘brilliant’ moment against West Ham United
Alejandro Garnacho was the star for Manchester United during their clash against West Ham. However, none of it would’ve happened without the brilliant teamwork of the Red Devils.
Carlos Casemiro started it off for United by putting Rasmus Hojlund in front of goal and the young Dane did not disappoint. The 20-year-old struck true to find the bottom corner and gave a 1-0 lead to the Red Devils.
However, it was the former Real Madrid man that made it all possible for him. A pundit was impressed by his “brilliant” moment and even went on to praise the 31-year-old midfielder for his good work.
Here’s what former Scotland forward, James Mcfadden had to say about it. (h/t BBC)
“Casemiro does brilliantly to anticipate the ball dropping into midfield.”
“Areola has no chance, Hojlund powers it past him and into the bottom corner. It’s a fabulous goal.”
While it is true that Casemiro was brilliant for Manchester United, a lot of people haven’t noticed that the team hasn’t lost a single game since he returned to the lineup. In fact, the Red Devils have won all of their games since his return to the pitch.
The defensive midfielder is clearly a very important part of the squad and just having him out there makes a big impact on the defensive line as well as the middle line.
Now that Erik ten Hag has his team back, we can expect the Red Devils to do some serious damage during the second half of the season.
