Shocking Luton Town statistic show how far Manchester United have fallen

Manchester United have been poor this season, shocking Premier League stat from Luton Town makes this even more apparent. Luton Town have 26 Premier League goals this season while Manchester United only have 24.

The team’s greatest weakness this season has been their attacking line. Rasmus Hojlund has been the team’s leading scorer this season scoring eight goals in 26 appearances. That alone should tell you just how bad the attack has been this season.

We have Marcus Rashford who has only scored four goals, there’s Anthony Martial who has only scored two goals, and Alejandro Garnacho who is currently sitting at five goals.

The most disappointing out of the bunch has to be Antony. Manchester United paid £85m for the Brazilian and he has only scored one goal for the team this season.

We can berate the offence all day long, however, the Red Devils’ attacking struggles begin with their middle line. There is no one on the team, except Bruno Fernandes who can play a half-decent ball into the box.

This is not to say that the offence isn’t horrendous, it only means that if the midfielders were creating and doing their job, Manchester United would not have been behind Luton Town in Premier League goals.

Manchester United are -5 in goal difference if you have a look at the Premier League table. The team keeps conceding while they struggle to score. Erik ten Hag has to change something or the second half of the season could end up being worse than the first one.
