Manchester United have given an update on Andre Onana while also stating that Mason Mount has been ruled out
Manchester United chief has confirmed that Andre Onana will return for the game against Wolves while Mason Mount is still out. The 25-year-old has been recovering from an injury and has been missing from the squad since late November.
Many fans were expecting Mount to return for the game against Wolver, however, Erik ten Hag says that it’s too soon. Moreover, Onana has returned after a disappointing run in AFCON.
The 27-year-old only got to play one game during the tournament. The Cameroon head coach decided against giving Onana a chance after he conceded thrice during his first game of the tournament.
Moreover, Altay Bayindir who stood in goal for United during the FA Cup clash against Newport County showed some positive signs during his debut. The 25-year-old conceded twice but the shots that he faced would’ve given the best keepers a run for their money.
Of course, not everyone will see it that way, however, Erik ten Hag should give the Turkish goalkeeper another chance. The game against Wolves will be a crucial one for the Red Devils.
The first half of their season has been disastrous, however, the team has a chance to turn it all around during the second. As they start their comeback the team must do everything that they can to grab the three points on Thursday.
