Manchester United flop could leave Old Trafford this summer

Manchester United seems to be the prime destination for Paris Saint-Germain star

Manchester United has been named as a possible French star who is currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, as reported by Sacha Tavolieri. The player in question is Hugo Ekitike. It is believed that PSG are trying to offload the 21-year-old.

A lack of playing time with the Ligue One giants has made the French star restless. The Old Trafford management has an excellent opportunity to add some depth to their attacking lineup.

Ekitike would be a perfect addition to the bench. Since Anthony Martial’s groin injury, Erik ten Hag has only had one option upfront. Young Rasmus Hojlund can only do so much by himself so some reinforcements are the need of the hour.

Ekitike has made 33 appearances for PSG. Throughout that time he has recorded four goals and four assists. What’s most impressive about his game is his ability to make runs into the box.

That combined with the 21-year-old’s excellent pace, makes him a thorn in the side of most of his opponents. However, getting him on a permanent deal would be counter-productive as Manchester United have already had difficulties with the development of Rasmus Hojlund.

Erik ten Hag could soon be getting some reinforcements to assist Rasmus Hojlund.

Adding another young striker to the fray can end up being detrimental to the growth of both players. There is still some time left before the transfer window shuts down. The Red Devils should make the most of this opportunity and try to work out a loan deal for Ekitike.
