Manchester United star could stay despite being linked to a summer exit

There has been constant talk about Manchester United star, Casemiro. The 31-year-old defensive midfielder has been constantly linked to an exit from the club. However, contrary to popular belief it seems like he’s going to be staying.

The former Real Madrid player was perhaps, Erik ten Hag’s best player last season. With him performing regularly, the team was able to win the Carabao Cup and even finished third in the Premier League.

Unfortunately, he has missed a major part of this season due to a hamstring injury. His absence from the squad has surely stung if you look at the terrible state that the Old Trafford squad is currently in.

He is a valuable member of Erik ten Hag’s team and while talking to the team’s website recently, Casemiro himself said that he is happy at the club. Last night the Brazilian played his first game back from injury.

In only his first game back the team already looks better. Man United beat Newport County 4-2 to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup. Moreover, Antony finally ended his drought and grabbed a goal and an assist for himself.

His presence on the pitch has already led to a positive result for the Red Devils. If the team can build upon this and mount a comeback then they are definitely not letting Casemiro leave during the summer.

Casemiro is a master at being a defensive midfielder and the team is in desperate need for his services. Even if he wasn’t happy, letting him go would not be the right call for the Red Devils.
