Manchester United loanee could soon become a permanent feature for La Liga giants
Manchester United outcast, Mason Greenwood has been very impressive during his time in La Liga. The 22-year-old was pushed out of Old Trafford after he was charged with rape and assault.
The charges have since been dropped, but the club decided against bringing him back because of the backlash that they would have to face. Since then, the English winger has been biding his time with Getafe.
In 19 appearances this season, Greenwood has recorded five goals and four assists for the team. His command over the ball has impressed many and he has garnered a ton of interest from prominent clubs.
The Manchester United loanee recently told his advisors that he ‘dreams’ of playing for La Liga giants, Barcelona. Now as reported by The Sun, the interest is mutual and the Catalan club will move on the player soon.
However, will Manchester United really be okay with selling Greenwood? His talent is undeniable and at just 22, he still has tons of room to grow. The Red Devils could be missing out on a gem.
Especially now that the team’s attacking line has performed so poorly. Instead of splurging money on an outside player, the team should instead try and reintegrate Greenwood into the Old Trafford squad.
