How have the Manchester United loanees fared during their time away? ft. Jadon Sancho
Manchester United might not have brought in a lot of players this season, but they sure have sent a lot of them away. Apart from Jadon Sancho, six more players are trying to make a name for themselves away from the Red Devils. Let’s have a look.
First, we have, Hannibal Mejbri who has only recently arrived in Spain to join Sevilla. However, he has yet to feature for the team. If he does do well the La Liga side have the option to make his move permanent during the summer.
Next, we have Donny van de Beek who is currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. His struggles for playing time under Erik ten Hag are well documented. However, it seems like things have changed for the better in Bundesliga, the Dutch midfielder has already made two starts for the German side.
Most impressive has probably been Jadon Sancho. After spending four and a half months away from football, the 23-year-old has already found his stride over at Borussia Dortmund. The English forward has only made two appearances but has had an immediate impact recording two assists.
Alvaro Fernandez has been enjoying a ton of playing time during his time with SL Benfica. However, he is yet to make much of an impact on the team as he is yet to crack the score sheet despite 14 appearances.
Young Joe Hugill has had a dream start over at Burton Albion. The 20-year-old has started two games for the Ligue 1 side recording one goal and one assist for the team. He might just become a mainstay upon his return to Manchester United.
Rhys Bennet who is on loan at Stockport is yet to make a single appearance for the club. We also have Maxi Oyedele who is on loan at Forest Green but has only made one appearance for the League Two club.
