Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur faced off in a highly anticipated Premier League fixture this Sunday. The game ended as a 2-2 draw with both sides getting a point each.

Rasmus Hojlund kicked the game off with a terrific strike in the third minute but Richarlison was quick to equalise. This was followed by Marcus Rashford’s goal which put the team up 2-1, but Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur grabbed another equaliser.

People have seemingly been very happy with the draw and even The Lilywhites themselves seemed delighted. Manchester United legend Roy Keane was quick to point out that it was just a draw and not a cause for celebration.

Speaking on the Overlap (h/t talkSPORT), Keane was quick to point out that Tottenham are celebrating for drawing against a weak Manchester United team. Let’s have a look at what else he had to say.

“Spurs drew 2-2 with Man United, United have lost nine league games – Bournemouth won 3-0 there two or three weeks ago and Spurs are buzzing with a draw.

“Everyone was – ‘Spurs are amazing, Spurs are…’, but it was 2-2!”

Some have said that Tottenham were missing a lot of their key players so the draw was a good result for the team. However, Manchester United were also missing their key players and they did not look remotely as happy as the Spurs did.

It looks like Erik ten Hag has made it very clear as to what he expects out of the Red Devils. The team played a fine bout against Tottenham and they still weren’t satisfied because they failed to finish the job.

A cultural shift seems to be underway at Old Trafford. Hopefully, the team will look to build on this mentality as they begin to mount a comeback during the second half of the season.
