Manchester United have asked one of their superstars to start training alone.
Manchester United have told their superstar Anthony Martial to start training alone after he once again failed to regain fitness. The 28-year-old has been missing from the squad since late December.
According to The Daily Mail, Martial has been away from the squad for the past month due to a sickness bug. A number of the Red Devils have previously missed games due to illness, which could be credited to the sickness bug that has somehow infiltrated camp.
However, it isn’t like Manchester United will be missing with the Frenchman often. He has mostly been disappointing for the team this season recording just 4 goal contributions in 19 appearances.
Martial was deemed to be a world-class talent during his early days at the club. However, much to everyone’s disappointment, the Frenchman has largely failed to live up to his potential.
The team has opted against extending his contract by a year, and although it was reported that a new contract would be discussed, there has been no talk of a new deal for Martial.
It is becoming more and more likely that the 28-year-old will not be at Old Trafford next summer. If he does end up playing again this season he’ll have to perform some miracles on the field to make his way back into the squad.

For the time being the Frenchman will be training alone as he tries to get back to peak fitness. A healthy and motivated Anthony Martial can help turn the team around, and Erik ten Hag will be hoping he turns up in peak condition.
