Manchester United could be competing with Arsenal as transfer target says he wants to be at ‘a top club’
Ivan Toney who is wanted by both Manchester United and Arsenal has stated that he wants to play for ‘a top club’ and fight for titles as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
The 27-year-old will has just been cleared to play after serving an eight-month ban for breach of betting rules. His impressive performances for Brentford have caught the eyes of a lot of prominent clubs around the world.
Over 124 appearances for the Premier League side, Toney has scored an impressive 68 goals while also raking in 21 assists. These are numbers that most strikers would be lucky to have.
He perfectly fits into Manchester United’s plans who have been looking for an experienced striker to pair along with young Rasmus Hojlund. However, Toney wants to fight for titles.
With the way that the Red Devils have been playing recently, there might not be a lot of titles on the horizon. This could encourage the English striker to pick another team.
Anyone hoping to come to Manchester United at the moment will be wary of the problems surrounding the club. They have had a terrible run so far and things could get drastically worse throughout the season.
