Former Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga sent wishes to Jadon Sancho for completing a loan move to Borussia Dortmund
Former Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga wished Jadon Sancho well after he completed a loan move to Borussia Dortmund. Sancho left United after a public spat with United manager Erik ten Hag and subsequent banishment from the first-team facilities.
Ten Hag criticized Sancho after the 3-1 away loss against Arsenal in the Premier League earlier this season. The United manager questioned the 23-year-old’s performances in training while explaining his exclusion from the squad in that game.
Sancho retaliated to the criticism by posting a stern defence on social media while blaming Ten Hag for scapegoating him. United banished Sancho as he refused to apologize for disobedience, leading to an impasse between the manager and the player.
Elanga used his Instagram account to publish a story and wished Sancho well for acquiring a loan move to Dortmund. His story said:
“Go shine bro!”
Elanga riled United fans this season when his current club Nottingham Forest won 2-1 in the Premier League clash. The former United academy graduate smiled and pointed toward Nottingham’s badge during his substitution in the game.
The gesture angered United faithful, many questioning his loyalty and calling him ungrateful towards the club that developed him. United have registered 14 losses from 29 games in all competitions so far this season.
The Red Devils fanbase are already riling up as the season brings one disaster after another from the very beginning. However, the minority share acquisition from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the consequent shift in the hierarchy brings some much-needed hope.

United are still in the FA Cup competition and they would look to end the season with a trophy. Despite the point difference, United need to give their all in the Premier League to finish in the top four. United are currently nine points behind the fourth-placed Arsenal. A good finish to the season would render the provoking behaviour of disgruntled former employees like Elanga, irrelevant.
