Manchester United will butt heads with Arsenal in a race for Erik Ten Hag’s striker from Ajax

As reported by Mirror (h\t Eurosport), both Manchester United and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Ajax man Brian Brobbey. The 21-year-old has been in fine form this season.

What’s interesting about the situation is that Brobbey made his debut for Ajax in 2020 when Erik Ten Hag was still at the helm. This means that the Red Devils already have an advantage over Mikel Arteta’s side.

Brobbey has been garnering interest from multiple European clubs for his performances at Ajax. The 21-year-old has scored 12 goals along with recording four assists over 24 appearances for the team.

Even though the decisions will be made by the new owners from INEOS, Manchester United are expected to keep an eye on Brobbey’s situation at Ajax. Since money is tight at the moment the team is probably preparing for a move in the summer.

Ten Hag has been happy with the player ever since he found the back of the net seven times in just 12 games en route to an Eredivisie trophy. He’ll be happy to add the Dutch striker to his ranks.

Pairing the 21-year-old along with Rasmus Hojlund will give the Dutchman one of the youngest attacking lines in the Premier League. The potential of both of these players is through the roof.
