Erik Ten Hag is looking to send Manchester United’s new Ryan Giggs on the road

Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag are ready to call time on the team’s ‘new Ryan Giggs’ Facundo Pellistri. The Red Devils completed a £9m deal for the player back in 2020.

Despite spending three years at the club the Uruguayan winger has not managed to crack the starting lineup. He has already completed two loan spells at Deportivo Alavés since his arrival and the next deal might be a permanent one.

It has been the same story for him this season as well as the player has only started three games during his 13 appearances. For someone who was hailed by Diego Forlan as the new Ryan Giggs, Pellistri’s time at Old Trafford has sure been disappointing.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, PSV Eindhoven and LA Galaxy are both looking to get the player for themselves. Negotiations with PSV have already begun.

The American club however are looking to get the 22-year-old on a permanent deal. The decision is now up to Man Utd and Pellistri, although it has already been reported that Ten Hag has no qualms about letting go of the player.

The best decision for the Uruguayan winger would be to move on from the club. Alejandro Garnacho has already been excellent for the team on the right wing and Ten Hag has Amad Diallo as a backup.

Consequently, Pellistri will most likely not be getting any kind of playtime if he stays at Old Trafford.
