Manchester United are looking to bring in two Dutch forwards who are highly rated by Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United are in pursuit of a 34-year-old African attacker currently playing in the Bundesliga

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to bring in Bundesliga attacker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to the team. The African striker is 34 years old.

It is believed that Erik Ten Hag plans to pair the attacker and keep him in rotation along with Rasmus Hojlund. Having a veteran presence around the Danish striker will be good for his development and that should be the only reason behind The Red Devils’ pursuit of Choupo-Moting.

The striker is 34 years old and has never been a prolific producer during his career. His performances as a striker have mostly been subpar. Through 107 appearances for Bayern Munich, he has only scored 38 goals along with 10 assists (transfermarkt).

Choupo-Moting who has been unhappy due to a lack of playing opportunities since the arrival of Harry Kane would be happy to move to Old Trafford.

The team was also linked to Timo Werner, but he was unfortunately stolen by the Lilywhites. There is just one question the troubling the fans at this moment. Is Choupo-Moting better than the other strikers at Manchester United?

The simple answer is no. If the Red Devils hope to strengthen their attack by signing the Cameroonian national then it will likely not work in their favour. If Choupo-Moting is signed his main impact will be the addition of some much-needed depth and a veteran presence around Hojlund.
