Manchester United star sold on La Liga sporting project amidst January exit talks

Manchester United make a decision on the long-term future of Hannibal Mejbri.

Manchester United star will soon be heading to the La Liga as January exit talks progress.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United’s Hannibal Mejbri has decided to sign a loan deal with La Liga side Sevilla. Other teams like Olympique Lyonnais have also shown an interest in the player.

Mejbri has long been unhappy with his playing time at Manchester United. Despite his excellent command over the ball and exceptional passing ability Erik Ten Hag has been reluctant to call on the player.

Last summer he was heavily linked to a move to Besiktas, but he was positive about his chances under at Old Trafford. Unfortunately, Mejbri was wrong to assume that the Dutchman would make him a mainstay on the Manchester United roster.

The Old Trafford squad has earned quite a reputation for ruining the talent of young players. Mejbri could become a part of that list if he wastes his days away warming the bench at Manchester United.

If a buy clause is included in the deal for Mejbri, Sevilla would be blind to not try and get him permanently. Especially since the 20-year-old considers the Spanish club to be the perfect opportunity to grow and wants to contribute to the club’s efforts.

If Manchester United do add a purchase clause in the deal, fans can only hope that a buyback clause will be present as well. Mejbri can grow to be a world-class midfielder and the Red Devils will surely not want to miss out on that.
