Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been offered to Al Nassr
Does lightning actually strike thrice? Could Manchester United superstar Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo reunite at club level for the third time in their careers? If journalist Rudy Galetti is to be believed, that is a realistic possibility.
Crucial cogs in the Real Madrid juggernaut that won three consecutive Champions League titles, Casemiro and Ronaldo’s paths crossed for a second time at Manchester United. Let’s just say it was nowhere close to their times in the Spanish capital in terms of success.
Now, in what would be a surprising development, their paths could cross for the third time. The Brazilian superstar’s agent has supposedly offered him to Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian club for whom Ronaldo currently plays.
Following his disappointing second spell at Manchester United, Ronaldo is setting the stage alight with Al Nassr, ending 2023 as the leading goal scorer in the world. Meanwhile, the Red Devils seem to be falling deeper into an abyss.
Part of Man United’s problem this season has been the fact that Casemiro has looked a pale shadow of his former imperious self. It looks like the entire league has gotten faster than him, and he just seems lethargic on and off the ball. Is father time catching up to him?
Understandably, his agent seems to want to win him a fat paycheck when his stocks are decently high. In what has now become a well-off retirement home for European stalwarts, the Brazilian has been offered to Saudi clubs.
Whilst he has been offered to Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr, it seems like Al Ahli is also interested in securing his services. For those who need some perspective, Al Ahli is the club for which Roberto Firmino, Allan Saint-Maximin, Eduardo Mendy, Riyad Mahrez, Frank Kessie and Gabri Veiga play for.
Casemiro has completely missed out on footballing action for the past couple of months now due to an injury he suffered whilst on international duty with Brazil but is closing in on a return and should have a significant role to play in the second half of the season.
