Two new arrivals from INEOS are expected to ‘revamp’ Manchester United’s approach to transfers

Manchester United are expected to be bolstered by Dan Ashworth and Paul Mitchell from INEOS, as reported by INews (paid subscription). These men will reportedly ‘revamp’ how the team approaches its transfers.

Someone in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s camp must not be happy with all the recent transfer failures at Manchester United. The club might not have to suffer due to Jadon Sancho and Antony soon.

Sancho who was brought for £73m has not featured for the team since September. Antony on the other hand has featured 21 times and has made no impact at all. A performance not worthy of the 23-year-old’s £85m price tag.

Dan Ashworth is believed to be taking up the role of Sporting Director. Paul Mitchell on the other hand will likely be appointed as the Head of Recruitment. Finally Manchester United will have some structure at the club.

Jean Claude Blanc is also expected to be brought in as the club’s CEO. He has been touted many by as the successor to David Gill. It looks like some major changes are afoot at Old Trafford.

All of this will go on to take some weight off the shoulders of Erik Ten Hag. With all of these positions currently empty, the Dutchman has been the single point of contact for most things at the club.
