Romano says Jadon Sancho is pushing for a move to Borussia Dortmund as their deal with Manchester United reaches ‘key stage’

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund’s deal for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho is now advancing to a ‘key stage’. He says the 23-year-old is desperate for a move to his old club.

The Red Devils are now seemingly open to the proposition of a loan. But, Romano believes that Manchester United will surely not be open to paying the entirety of Sancho’s wages. Moreover, the German side will have to pay a fee if they want to get a deal done.

It would be disgraceful if Manchester United let go of Sancho for free after paying £73m for the 23-year-old. There has been some talk that the Old Trafford squad will also be adding a buy clause if a deal is eventually made.

It is becoming more and more likely that the Jadon Sancho saga at Manchester United will soon come to an end. Surely both parties will be bitter about the entire ordeal.

Sancho has not featured for the squad following a public following out with Erik Ten Hag. He was then outcast from the team and the only condition for him to be brought back was an apology from the player.

However, an apology never came. His subpar performance at Old Trafford paired with his attitude issues off the pitch have caused the 23-year-old’s stock to plummet from where it used to be when he first joined the Red Devils.

Getting a deal done as quickly as possible is in the best interest of Manchester United. If they draw it out, the club will find it extremely difficult to find a suitor for Sancho.
