Donny van de Beek has finally left Manchester United on loan for Eintracht Frankfurt
Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek has officially become a part of Eintracht Frankfurt. The German club had to pay a minimal fee for the 26-year-old. Moreover, they also have the option to make the change permanent for a price of €11m plus €3m add-ons as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
It has also been revealed that a majority of the player’s wages will be covered by the German side. Fans of the player are hopeful that his time away from Manchester United might help him get back into form.
The main problem with Van de Beek’s stint with the Red Devils was a lack of playing time. Ever since he arrived in 2020, the player has only appeared in 62 games and just two games this season (transfermarkt).
A rejuvenated Donny can go a long way towards helping the Manchester United middle line. But, that is still a long way off, the player hasn’t seen any action in a while and will take some time to get up to speed.
Hopefully, playing time and a lack of opportunities will not bother the player at his new club. If he performs well he could also end up as a permanent member of Frankfurt.
With Van de Beek gone now is the time for Manchester United to start generating funds. The team needs to work on offloading the likes of Jadon Sancho. Such a move will allow them to have more money for new talent.
