Gary Neville has shared his thoughts on the changes that Manchester United must go through under INEOS

Gary Neville does not believe that the new management at Manchester United will be too worried about the squad. He believes that there are things off the pitch that need to be tended to immediately.

The former Manchester United star mentioned that the club is missing three very crucial things. They don’t have a CEO, they don’t have a Sporting Director and there isn’t a capable head of recruitment at Old Trafford.

Neville believes that apart from the manager these three are the biggest jobs for any football club. He went on to add that the success that this quartet achieves off the field is directly converted to success on the pitch.

Let’s have a look at what else Neville had to say. (h/t Manchester Evening News)

“But then you have got to get on to the sporting side where you think about a head of recruitment, a manager and a sporting director, and that CEO making it up from a financial perspective. To me, it is really important, ultimately, that they get that right.”

He then continued to talk about how Old Trafford needs to be touched up and modernised. Something that is also seemingly on the list of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Gary believes that the Old Trafford part of United is very important to the club. He says that it is essential for the players to have pride in where they play and Old Trafford is an excellent example of that.

Manchester United have been operating without anyone holding the positions mentioned above. Clearly, this has to be changed and Erik Ten Hag’s failures could also be attributed to this.
