Liverpool have given a late Christmas gift to Premier League rivals Manchester United.
According to a report by the Express, the Reds have drawn out of the race to sign Fluminese star Andre Trindade. Liverpool drawing out of the race seemingly clears the path for Manchester United who are also interested in the player, as reported by Mirror.
Trindade’s contributions towards Fluminense’s Copa Libertadores campaign have helped him garner interest from several clubs. Liverpool who were reportedly the 22-year-old’s dream club has unfortunately dropped out of the race.
The Brazilian national’s skill on the ball is truly a treat for the eyes. He’s a physical specimen who isn’t afraid of contact, he has a knack for the ball and is usually spot-on with his long passes. These are all qualities that Manchester United can make great use of.
The Red Devils must move fast if they wish to sign the young man. He could very well grow to be the next big thing out of Brazil. Speaking of Brazil, Casemiro’s presence on the team should also help make the youngster feel more comfortable.
Being hopeful is good but Manchester United have no money for January. It is now that offloading the likes of Anthony Martial and especially Jadon Sancho can help the team get new talent on the squad.
The withdrawal of Liverpool has helped make things easy for Manchester United. They must now nail the hammer on the head and bring the Brazilian sensation over to Old Trafford.
