James Tarkowski’s comments should excite Manchester United fans hoping to see £100m-rated ace at Old Trafford

James Tarkowski has made some interesting comments about Jarrad Branthwaite who according to I News (paid subscription), is of interest to both Manchester United and the Spurs.

Branthwaite has been described as a ‘Rolls Royce defender’ mainly because he has all the qualities much like a Rolls Royce. The 21-year-old has garnered interest from many clubs.

However, Everton have slapped a £100m price tag on the young player. This will demotivate many teams that were looking forward to getting a deal done in January.

His teammate at Everton, James Tarkowski had some high praise for the player. While on The Ben Foster Podcast, he called Branthwaite a ‘physical beast’. Let’s have a look at what else he had to say.

“He’s a physical beast. I trust that I can leave him one-on-one in the channel because he’s so quick. I think he might be our quickest player.”

A combination of quickness paired with his defensive genius and excellent passing abilities is enough to excite the Manchester United fans about their January target.

While a £100m transfer sounds far-fetched the new management could take this as an opportunity to impress the fans. With the right moves, we could easily see Branthwaite becoming a part of the Old Trafford outfit.

Adding Branthwaite to his ranks will give a great boost to Erik ten Hag’s defensive line. Since his team can’t seem to score anyway, strengthening the defence looks like a good option at the moment.

Hopefully, the new management will not disappoint the fans in January.
