Fabrizio Romano says Manchester United have already approached the reps of three strikers
In his exclusive Daily Briefing with Caught Offside, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United are targeting Donyell Malen, Serhou Guirassy and ex-Chelsea star Timo Werner as the January transfer window beckons. He says that the Red Devils have already met and spoken to their representatives.
Manchester United are desperately looking for someone who can find the back of the net. All the talent on their team just can’t seem to get the job done. Consequently, The Red Devils have not scored over the last four games.
To save themselves from further embarrassment the Old Trafford squad will be looking to sign one of these 3 forwards in January. This will give a much-needed boost to the attacking line.
Their first target Timo Werner has made 213 appearances for RB Leipzig. During that time he has recorded 113 goals and 47 assists. Signing Werner will be a top priority for the club but Aston Villa might not make it so simple for them.
Next up is Donyell Malen who has made 96 appearances for Borussia Dortmund. During that time he has scored 25 goals while grabbing 16 assists. Not too shabby for a 24-year-old.
Last we have Serhou Guirassy who has been in phenomenal form this season. The Guinea national has scored 19 goals and recorded two assists in just 16 games for VfB Stuttgart. These are astounding numbers indeed.
Getting any of the above three will give Manchester United a much-needed boost. However, Romano also believes that the team will be much better off once things settle down at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has had to deal with injuries, ownership clarity, and no clarity on the new board structure. All of these things have probably affected the team’s performance more than most people realise.
But things are finally looking up. Hopefully, January will prove to be the month when Manchester United turn things around.
