Bayern Munich star leaves his mark on the game as Manchester United hierarchy regrets not signing him
Erik Ten Hag must be turning in his sleep as the Bayern Munich star who he sought to sign for himself contributed to end Manchester United’s dream of European glory.
Harry Kane was the topic of a lot of chatter this summer as he was about to leave the Lilywhites. As reported by Mirror, Kane was sought after by the likes of the Red Devils and others before he signed with the Bavarians.
Also, according to the Mirror, Erik Ten Hag was keen on signing the English striker but the transfer did not go through because of the Manchester United hierarchy.
Not getting Harry Kane sure did come back to haunt The Red Devils. During Tuesday’s game against Manchester United, Bayern Munich’s Kane was responsible for the assist that eventually ended Ten Hag’s European dreams.
It is not only the assist that Kane made but rather his impact on the entire game that helped the Bavarians topple Man United. England’s skipper was dominant throughout.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker was a menace to Ten Hag’s defensive line. It was his pass to Kingsley Coman that helped decide the game. Moreover, he got off 3 shots of his own with one being on target (Fotmob).
