Manchester United are considering offers for several of their to-earning stars including Jadon Sancho
Ten Hag might soon be playing with an entirely different squad and it won’t be because he has been sacked. According to The Guardian, Manchester United are now considering offers for some of their top wage earners the likes of Raphaël Varane and Jadon Sancho are now on the transfer block.
The Red Devils have been off to a terrible start this season. With the January transfer window approaching, some changes are surely in order. Man United are now looking to move some of their biggest names.
First up on the list are Casemiro and Jadon Sancho. These players make over €350,000 in weekly wages.
Sancho at 23 has a ton of potential to develop as a footballer and also has created a chasm between himself and Erik ten Hag. In an ideal world, he should be the easiest to move. Casemiro on the other hand is 31 and given his struggle with form and injuries of late, there might not be many suitors for the Brazilian.
Along with those two, Manchester United are also open to offers for the French duo of Anthony Martial and Raphaël Varane. The former has had somewhat of a disappointing run during his time at Old Trafford. Varane on the other hand is past his prime and has also fallen prey to injuries of late.
Martial is currently earning somewhere around €250,000 and is still relatively young, there is a chance of him recovering and coming back to form. Varane on the other hand earns about €340,000 and much like Casemiro will also most likely be sought out by teams that are looking for a veteran leader or a quality bench player.
Regardless of reputation or potential, change is the need of the hour in the Red Devils’ roster. Several players have struggled to impress or have seen better days in their career. The club needs to be paying them for what they are worth today and not what they once commanded or demanded. It pays more to let go of underperforming assets than to hold onto them.
