According to the Mirror, Manchester United are showing interest in signing VfB Stuttgart’s prolific striker Serhou Guirassy ahead of the upcoming 2024 winter transfer window.

Since his permanent move to Stuttgart this summer, the Guinean forward has been in exceptional form, netting 15 goals in 10 Bundesliga appearances. The 27-year-old ranks second in the league’s top scorers, trailing only Harry Kane of Bayern Munich.

Guirassy has impressively surpassed Robert Lewandowski’s record of eleven goals in his first seven matches. While it might just be a purple patch, the striker has shown the ability to thrive in the right system.

Guirassy’s transfer from Rennes included a release clause, making him available for a bargain price of €17.5 million. With Rasmus Hojlund’s underwhelming performance, featuring no goals or assists in the Premier League, United has reportedly initiated talks with Guirassy’s representatives about a potential transfer.

Both Erik ten Hag’s and Eddie Howe’s teams faced setbacks in the Champions League this week and must secure positive results on matchday six to progress to the round of sixteen. Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in Guirassy. Saturday’s match could influence Guirassy’s decision on which team to join.

With the Champions League campaign nearing its end for us this season, focusing on the domestic league is now paramount for Manchester United. Out of the last six Premier League games, we have secured five victories, placing us in the sixth position. A loss against the Magpies away from home could leave us level on points with them.

More Manchester United News-

Securing a talented striker like Guirassy is crucial for us. The financial allure of the Premier League could help his decision. We are hopeful that Manchester United will step up with a compelling offer to prevent him from joining a rival team.
