Manchester United are keen on FC Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji despite Brighton’s interest
According to The Sun (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United want to sign FC Copenhagen’s talented and young midfielder Roony Bardghji. However, the Danish outlet Plbold.dk is indicating that Brighton are also interested in signing the young talent.
Brighton are currently 8th in the league table and 2 points behind United. The fact that they are playing ruthlessly in the Europa League and just need a victory to qualify for the knockout stages might just give them an upper hand in luring the player to their side. The team has contributed to the success of players like Kaoru Mitoma, Moises Caicedo, and Alexis Mac Allister in the Premier League and they might be hoping to do the same with Bardghji.
Manchester United have had a terrible season, and Roony Bardghji has made things even worse for them with Copenhagen. Dubbed the “Swedish Lionel Messi,” the teenage player gave his team the impetus as they achieved a historic victory over the Red Devils.
Crystal Palace, Chelsea, and Newcastle are some of the English premier teams eager to sign Bardghji. With a preference for playing on the right flank and cutting inside with his left foot, the 17-year-old winger has made 24 appearances this season in all competitions and scored 11 goals.
Following his introduction, Bardghji brought the audience up to their feet with some subtle touches and gestures. It was only natural that his team’s victory at Parken was secured by his outstanding half-volley. The young man, who is of Syrian descent and was born in Kuwait, had his training at the Copenhagen Academy.
Now, it seems that Copenhagen intend to sell, ideally in the summer, with the goal of achieving a prolonged run in the Champions League.
After scoring a goal in the 87th minute versus United, Bardghji’s reputation skyrocketed, and the Danish powerhouses will be able to extend an offer to him when he turns 18 on Wednesday.
Manchester United now sit last in Group A with three points from four games thanks to the heroics of Roony Bardghji. Erik ten Hag’s team now have two games that they absolutely must win in order to advance to the next round: against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray. We hope we can find a solution to this as soon as possible to gain a spot in the UCL knockouts.

It’s going to be a tough contest if Brighton show genuine interest in the player. However, United must push-up the standards of their play to lure the player. We shall remain optimistic and see how things escalate after United makes an official bid.
