Manchester United winger Amad Diallo shows signs of return after his recent Instagram story
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo recently posted a story on Instagram (h/t Manchester Evening News) where he’s seen to be in a United training kit saying “Just a little longer before returning”.
After a successful loan period at Sunderland last year, Amad was impressing in the preseason, making his case for a spot in the first team.
Following an exceptional Championship play-off campaign with Tony Mowbray, Amad Diallo was set to go on loan for the 2023–24 season. However, a knee injury during the preseason dealt a significant blow to his chances of breaking into the United squad and the club’s transfer plans.
Unfortunately, a knee issue forced him to leave the pitch during the preseason game against Arsenal. Since then, he hasn’t played any football matches.
This is the first update on the player’s health in a while, although it was widely known that his injury was serious. Injuries are a part of the game, and we hope Amad makes a swift return to action.
His absence comes at a challenging time for United, with Antony facing accusations of domestic abuse, Jadon Sancho having clashes with Erik ten Hag, and Facundo Pellistri continually striving to earn his manager’s trust.
The Ivorian seems to be gradually regaining his fitness, as seen in his latest Instagram story, where he’s shown working hard during rehabilitation.
