Rasmus Hojlund defends Manchester United superstar Marcus Rashford amidst the criticism he is facing this season
According to Manchester Evening News, Rasmus Hojlund believes Marcus Rashford, his teammate at Manchester United, will soon return to his best since he is a “world-class” talent.
Rashford had the best season of his career last year, scoring 30 goals across all competitions. However, this time around, he has struggled to find the back of the net, managing only one goal.
The academy graduate has faced criticism for making poor decisions and appearing insecure. Rashford has been substituted in each of his last three games, and there are growing calls for him to relinquish his starting spot on the left wing.
In the Champions League, Hojlund scored twice against Galatasaray, but the Turkish team dashed our hopes of victory by overcoming setbacks and scoring a late winner.
Hojlund defended Rashford from criticism and explained why he enjoys playing with him. United supporters are eager to see both players establish a strong partnership.
Hojlund explained in an interview saying how much he really enjoys playing with Rashford:
“I really like and enjoy playing with him. He is a world-class player,” Hojlund said about Rashford. He’s a player I’ve looked up to, even though he’s only a few years older than me. He has done well since he came in as a 19-year-old and scored against Midtjylland. I think he has been a great player ever since, and it is of course great that we are teammates today.”
Hojlund is showing great promise, and we genuinely believe that it won’t be long until he and Rashford start finding the back of the net for United and help the Dane during attacks. This is much needed during these challenging times. Scoring goals has become a recurring issue for us every game day.
The young goal scorer will undoubtedly aim to increase his Premier League goal tally when United host Sheffield United after the international break. Despite Rashford’s attempts to outmanoeuvre defenders with his dribbling skills, he has often lost the ball, testing the patience of some supporters.
