Manchester United executives reassured manager Erik ten Hag that his position is secure for the foreseeable future.

The Guardian reports that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has the backing of the club executives despite poor form.

The Red Devils have lost six out of the 10 games they played in all competitions so far this season. The catastrophic form cast some doubts over Ten Hag’s future but the United hierarchy has put those doubts to bed.

United have dealt with a major injury crisis this season with few first-team players returning after the September international break. Nevertheless, Ten Hag continues to grapple with a crisis in positions like the left-back, as all their natural options remain sidelined.

United lost their last Premier League game 0-1 to Crystal Palace at their home turf Old Trafford. The Eagles got a first-half lead and then left no space for the Red Devils to operate.

The Red Devils managed to muster only four shots on target as they struggled to create any big chances. Ten Hag faced criticism for not playing in-form youngster Hannibal Mejbri and his late substitutions when United needed a goal.

The Dutchman brought in Harry Maguire and has rarely used Donny van de Beek this season. Fans and experts anticipated that Maguire would serve as an emergency forward, leveraging his strong aerial abilities. The English defender took his familiar role as the natural centre-back instead.

United’s loss against Turkish club Galatasaray exposed a completely different vulnerability within the squad. Galatasaray were more open with their style of play than Palace and when they managed to exploit the Man United backline, we didn’t know how to defend.

The Red Devils’ new goalkeeper Andre Onana came under the spotlight once again for making a costly mistake. The Cameroonian international made a clumsy pass that led to Casemiro’s red card.

More Manchester United News-

We believe Ten Hag deserves the time and support to rectify the course of United’s season. The Dutchman has been dealing with an injury crisis while his new signings are adjusting to the style and demands. The Dutchman ended the six-year trophy draught for the Red Devils by winning the Carabao Cup and with time, he would only prosper.
