Inter Milan make bid for Manchester United target Benjamin Pavard

Bayern Munich star and Manchester United target Benjamin Pavard is apparently the subject of a bid from Serie A behemoths Inter Milan.

This is according to renowned journalist Christian Falk of BILD, who states that the bid is in the region of €25million. This could spell trouble for Manchester United.

We have to be decisive with our interest if we want to sign him. Pavard is a full international for France and a star at Bayern Munich with one year left on his contract (Transfermarkt).

This is why Inter’s bid seems reasonable and one that should worry Manchester United. The Italian giants are formalising their interest in the former Stuttgart star.

What should we do?

We should at least put in a bid that is slightly higher than Inter’s to test the waters. Bayern would know they risk losing him for nothing next year.

Moreover, Manchester United are on the ascendancy again. But the question remains – where will Pavard fit?

Even if we take Harry Maguire out of the equation, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are our regular starters. At right-back, we have Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka — both in the prime years of their career as well.

After Milan Skriniar’s signing, Inter can more or less promise Pavard an untouchable place in the squad. Can Manchester United do the same? Perhaps not. And that could be the telling difference.
