Fiorentina have set a deadline of Monday to resolve the transfer situation surrounding Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News), Fiorentina wants a resolution for Sofyan Amrabat, who has been linked with Manchester United, by Monday.
With Mason Mount and Andre Onana secured, the attention now turns to Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund as the next two primary targets for the window.
It does seem like a deal for Amrabat needs to be prioritised first as Fiorentina want the issue to be resolved in the coming days and have set a deadline of Monday (24 July).
The Moroccan midfielder has been given an additional break by the club in order to sort out his future but in the end, the club would not want the situation to drag on till the end of the transfer window.
Fiorentina have more or less accepted the fact that Amrabat will leave in the current transfer window as his contract with the club expires in June 2024 and till now he has shown no signs of agreeing to a new deal.
The Italian outlet also claims that the midfielder could be available for as little as £17m, which is nothing in comparison to the quality that he will add to the team.
Hopefully, the Red Devils get their affairs in order to sign the Morocco international soon. In a way, this deadline could be good for us considering it could be the push we need to finally sign Amrabat and stop messing about.
However, United are functioning on a strict budget and would need to sell players to raise funds before they could make bids for primary targets such as Amrabat.
Fred is rumoured to leave while Anthony Elanga and Dean Henderson are also expected to be on their way out. There have been new issues in the deal which was taking Alex Telles to Saudi Arabia but it remains to be seen how that pans out.

Time is running out for United as the Italian outfit could accept offers from other clubs if presented and hence they should be readying their bid as Amrabat will add a lot to the current midfield and is a no-brainer deal at the price that he is available.
