Neymar wants to stay at PSG amidst Manchester United links
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar wants to stay at the Parc des Princes side for the upcoming campaign amidst links to Manchester United.
Back in May 2023, the Red Devils were being associated with the Brazil international’s signature. Due to Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani’s interest in acquiring the Old Trafford side, the 31-year-old was seen as a marquee signing for them.
However, speaking to Caze TV (h/t Manchester Evening News), Neymar revealed his desire to keep on playing for the Parisians for another year despite a tumultuous relationship with the Ligue 1 side’s fans.

“I will be at PSG next season even if there is not much love with the supporters.”
The Brazilian established himself as one of the world’s best at Barcelona, winning the Champions League in 2015. Subsequently, a couple of years later, he surprisingly made a move to PSG.
At the Parisians, the 31-year-old has continued to showcase immense quality. However, injuries have hampered his time at the French capital season after season.
In the previous campaign as well, Neymar once again suffered a setback, missing the business end of the season. However, despite that, the Brazilian’s numbers were impressive, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists in 29 appearances in all competitions.

At United, the attack had to rely heavily on Marcus Rashford. The England international was the club’s leading goalscorer in Erik ten Hag’s first year in charge.
Unfortunately, the supporting cast up front were unable to find the back of the net consistently. The likes of Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Antony had their moments, but they were few and far between.

Therefore, the Old Trafford side could evidently do with a player like Neymar in their ranks. However, considering that we have had to spend judiciously due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, it makes a move for the Brazilian to the Manchester-based club highly unlikely this summer.
