PSG will not allow Manchester United-linked Kylian Mbappe to leave for free
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will not let Kylian Mbappe leave the Parc des Princes side as a free agent amidst links to Manchester United.
The France international’s current contract with the Parisians expires next summer. While there is an option to extend the deal for another year, the forward has no intention of triggering it.
To that end, speaking via transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter (h/t The Sun), Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, was adamant that the 24-year-old will be sold in the ongoing transfer window if his decision does not change.

“Our position is clear. If Kylian wants to stay, we want him to stay. But he needs to sign a new contract”.

Mbappe is one of the best players in the world. However, the Ligue 1 outfit’s asking price of over £250 million has cooled interest in the French national for now.
At the moment, the Parisians are dissatisfied with the forward, which is understandable. As a result, they are looking to sell the 24-year-old this summer to a team in the Premier League.
United are thinking about putting their hat in the race for Mbappe. Liverpool have also been associated with the French national. However, the 24-year-old wants to join European giants Real Madrid.
At the Old Trafford side, the front line lacks both quality and depth as things stand. Anthony Martial is the only natural number nine at Erik ten Hag’s disposal right now.
Unfortunately, in the previous campaign, the 27-year-old was unreliable due to his fitness issues. We had to get Wout Weghost on loan in January to provide cover up front. Thankfully, Marcus Rashford was the saving grace in the Red Devils’ attack.

However, we evidently need to add more goals to our game. Mbappe has established himself as a prolific player over the years. However, it remains to be seen whether United will have the funds to get a hold of the French national’s signature.
