Manchester United target Harry Kane has snubbed an approach from Tottenham Hotspur to offer him a new contract, according to The Guardian via the Evening Standard (h/t Express).

As things stand, the England international will become a free agent next summer. However, the North London side are willing to give the striker a massive salary hike in order to tie him down to a new deal.

But the 29-year-old has no intention of putting pen to paper on fresh terms at the moment. He has no plans to negotiate with the Lilywhites until the end of the ongoing transfer window.

Along with the Red Devils, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich also have Kane on their radar. However, Tottenham have no intention of parting ways with their talisman and have rejected an offer from the Bavarians for the forward recently.

For now, the English skipper’s future is uncertain. He is open to starting a new chapter and leaving the North London side. However, the 29-year-old has not completely closed the door on extending his stay at Spurs.

Kane has been pivotal to Tottenham’s recent success. Therefore, it is not surprising to see Daniel Levy pull all the stops to keep a hold of the English national this summer.

At United, adding a quality number nine to the squad is evidently a priority. Erik ten Hag only has Anthony Martial as his lone natural striking option in the ranks.

In the previous campaign, the gaffer had to rely on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, towards the end of the last season, even the 25-year-old’s goals dried up.

Kane has showcased his prolificity in the Premier League for some time now. The 29-year-old’s addition would seemingly make any team a better side. Hopefully, the Old Trafford side will try and convince Tottenham to sell the English national in the coming weeks.
