Galatasaray eye Manchester United duo Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga
Manchester United duo Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga are being eyed by Galatasaray in the ongoing transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Aksam.
The hierarchy of the Super Lig outfit are expected to fly to England soon to complete their signings. A left-back is on their agenda. To that end, the Red Devils’ Brazilian defender, who spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Sevilla, is on their radar.
Getting a new player for the left-hand side of the defence is a priority for Okan Buruk’s team. As things stand, Telles has just one year left on his current contract at the Old Trafford side.
On the other hand, Elanga is also on Galatasaray’s list. The Turkish giants are looking to bolster their forward line this summer. However, they want the Sweden international on loan.
Telles has previously played for the Turkish giants. The 30-year-old spent a few seasons at the Super Lig outfit before joining FC Porto. Subsequently, United acquired the Brazilian’s services.
As for Elanga, he has made his way through the youth ranks at the Old Trafford side. The 21-year-old established himself in the first-team setup under Ralf Rangnick. However, the winger has seen his game time dwindle since Erik ten Hag’s arrival.
At left-back, the Dutch manager trusted Luke Shaw in the previous campaign. The gaffer also has Tyrel Malacia at his disposal, who joined the Red Devils from Feyenoord last summer.
In the attack, Ten Hag counted on Antony and Marcus Rashford out wide in his first year in charge of the club. We also have the likes of Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho in our ranks.

Therefore, at the moment, Telles and Elanga seem to be surplus to requirements at United. However, while the Brazilian defender is in the final stretch of his career, the Swedish national is still young. Thus, parting ways with the left-back and sending the 21-year-old on a temporary move seems wise.
