Chicago Fire playmaker Brian Gutierrez on Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund’s radar
Manchester United are keeping tabs and are ‘taking note’ of the development of Chicago Fire playmaker Brian Gutierrez, according to the Daily Mail via Team Talk (h/t Manchester Evening News).
For now, the Red Devils are closely monitoring the 19-year-old. The attacking midfielder has enjoyed a decent spell so far at the Major League Soccer outfit.
However, apart from the Old Trafford side, other teams are eyeing the United States native as well. In Germany, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are looking to get a hold of the youngster’s signature, while Spanish side Girona are also interested.

Gutierrez made his way through the youth ranks at Chicago Fire. Subsequently, the MLS outfit gave the youngster an opportunity to represent the first team in 2020.
Since then, the playmaker’s influence in the senior side has only grown. The American has now established himself as a key player in the Soldier Field side’s starting lineup.
In 17 appearances in all competitions this year, the youngster has been unable to find the back of the net so far but has four assists to his name.
United’s future looks bright, with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho breaking onto the scene this season. The Argentine has become a key player for Erik ten Hag at the Old Trafford side in such a short span of time.
In the middle of the park, Zidane Iqbal, Kobbie Mainoo and Charlie Savage are some of the names who have shown immense promise. But it remains to be seen whether they will be able to fulfil their potential,

Gutierrez has a lot of potential as well but is still young and inexperienced. Therefore, will the Old Trafford side acquire the services of the American in the coming future? Only time will tell.
