Real Madrid want at least €80 million for Aurelien Tchouameni amidst Manchester United interest
La Liga giants Real Madrid want at least €80 million for Aurelien Tchouameni amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Spanish outlet El Nacional.
Los Blancos are open to parting ways with the France international in the upcoming transfer window. The midfielder’s form has dipped in recent months and has cut a frustrated figure on the bench at times at the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
However, Madrid want to recoup the amount they spent on signing the 23-year-old from AS Monaco last summer. To that end, the La Liga giants will sell him if they are offered the aforementioned price.
Carlo Ancelotti put faith in Tchouameni at the start of the season. The French national was brought in to replace Casemiro, who joined United in the summer of 2022.
Initially, the 23-year-old impressed many. But since the World Cup, he has failed to make a mark when called upon. As a result, other players have cemented their place in Los Blancos’ starting lineup.
The Santiago Bernabeu side have an abundance of talent in the middle of the park with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga. They also have their eyes on Jude Bellingham.
As for United, apart from Casemiro, Christian Eriksen seems to be Erik ten Hag’s preferred option in the midfield. The Brazil and Denmark nationals have been pivotal to the Dutch manager’s plans.
Unfortunately, without them, the Red Devils do not look their best. Marcel Sabitzer has been encouraging since signing for the club on loan in January from Bayern Munich. But Fred and Scott McTominay have left a lot to be desired at times.
