Manchester United target Daichi Kamada to leave Frankfurt for free this summer
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder and Manchester United target Daichi Kamada is all set to leave the German club once his contract expires this summer.
The Red Devils are one of the many Premier League clubs interested in signing Kamada on a free transfer. Arch-rivals Liverpool are also in the race. We know how desperate they are for midfielders.
The Japanese international has been an excellent servant for Frankfurt during his six-year spell at the club since joining them from Sagan Tosu back in 2017. He spent a season on loan with Belgian club Sint-Truiden in between as well.
Kamada has scored 37 goals and assisted 31 in 183 appearances in all competitions for Frankfurt. He was in great form this season too with 13 goals and five assists in 39 appearances.
The 26-year-old is an attacking midfielder who can operate as a number eight, as a wide midfielder or as a support striker. In the Europa League final last season, he started as one of two narrow wingers behind striker Rafael Borre and did well.
He is not only versatile but exudes quality on the ball, demonstrates a high work rate and is a sweet striker of the ball in and around the opposition penalty box.
United boss Erik ten Hag would be aiming to bolster the midfield department in the coming summer. They are in the race to sign Jude Bellingham, and after Liverpool’s pullout on Tuesday, things might look promising on that front.

But, if the Red Devils want a versatile midfield player, like Bruno Fernandes, to come in and be a good squad player, Kamada can be that man. For a free transfer, getting the 26-year-old would be an excellent piece of business from the club.
