PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe to be considered by Manchester United in case of takeover
Manchester United will ‘consider’ a move for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe if the Red Devils find themselves under new ownership, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
In the upcoming transfer window, the Old Trafford side will look to bolster their forward line. To that end, the Manchester-based club have prioritised the addition of a striker next summer.
United already have a few options lined up for the number nine position. Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are on the club’s radar as priority targets.
However, the Red Devils will ‘plot’ a move for Mbappe if the club is taken over. The Old Trafford side could opt to bring the 24-year-old to Manchester in the near future.
At the moment, Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has confirmed his intention to buy the Old Trafford side by submitting a bid. However, it remains to be seen whether we will be able to lure the France international away from the Parisians.
Mbappe made his move to PSG in the summer of 2017 from AS Monaco. Over the years, the 24-year-old has been prolific for the Ligue 1 outfit.
In 2018, the French national also went on to lift the World Cup in Russia. Subsequently, in 2022, the forward was once again pivotal for Didier Deschamps’ team in Qatar. However, Les Bleus lost the final against Argentina in the penalty shootout after Mbappe’s hat trick.
At United, apart from Marcus Rashford, none of our forwards have consistently found the back of the net. The 25-year-old has had to shoulder the burden of the Red Devils’ attack under Erik ten Hag.

For now, Mbappe seems like an unrealistic target for the Old Trafford side, considering our lack of success in recent years. However, it remains to be seen whether the Manchester-based club will be able to entice the 24-year-old in the coming future.
