Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is hopeful of Aaron Wan-Bissaka returning to face Leeds United in the Premier League at Elland Road.

The Red Devils will visit West Yorkshire on Sunday (12 February). In the previous fixture, the Old Trafford side drew 2-2 at home to the Peacocks.

Diogo Dalot returned to the starting lineup in our last match after some time out. However, the Portugal international did not look at his best against Leeds.

Speaking to club media, Ten Hag aspires to see Wan-Bissaka back in the fold. Since the 2022 World Cup, the 25-year-old has put in some important performances for Man United.

“I expect this squad is the same [as it was on Wednesday], except I hope Aaron Wan-Bissaka can return.”

The former Crystal Palace star has got a new lease of life at the Old Trafford side since the season restarted. In the first half of the campaign, the gaffer hardly gave the right-back any opportunities in the team.

However, with Dalot on the sidelines since returning from Qatar, the England U21 international has deputised admirably. The Portuguese has been the Dutch manager’s preferred choice in the starting lineup this term.

The former FC Porto star has been one of the most improved players since the previous campaign. Since Ralf Rangnick’s appointment, the 23-year-old’s fortunes at the Manchester-based club have changed.

Wan-Bissaka was ever-present in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans over the years. However, the Norwegian gaffer’s dismissal led to the dwindling of the right-back’s influence with the Red Devils.

However, in recent weeks, the 25-year-old has shown that he still has a lot of quality. Defensively, the English national has mostly been solid.
