Bayern Munich join Manchester United in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt and France forward Randal Kolo Muani
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have joined Manchester United in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani, according to Telefoot on Twitter (h/t The Sun).
The Red Devils are ‘interested’ in signing the France international from the Bundesliga outfit. Erik ten Hag is keen on bolstering his attack. The club need to add strength in depth.
At the moment, the Old Trafford side are fighting in all four competitions. We are fighting for a place in the top four in the Premier League. The Manchester-based will club also face Barcelona in the Europa League. We are also alive in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
Thus, Kolo Muani is being targeted by United. However, the France international is not keen on leaving Frankfurt in the ongoing transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form this season for Die Adler. In 23 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit, he has found the back of the net eight times and has provided 11 assists.
Frankfurt are fourth in the league table at the moment. The German outfit are also in the round of 16 of the Champions League. They will face Napoli next.
At the 2022 World Cup, the centre-forward shone for Les Bleus. He scored for Didier Deschamps’ team in the semi-final and won a penalty against Argentina in the thrilling comeback in the final.
Bayern lost Robert Lewandowski in the summer of 2022. The Bavarians signed the likes of Sadio Mane and Mathys Tel to bolster their attack. However, the Bundesliga giants have not got an out-and-out goalscorer.

Julian Nagelsmann’s team joining the pursuit evidently makes a deal more challenging for United. They are one of the biggest sides in Europe. But since Kolo Muani is not looking to leave in January, the Red Devils should turn their attention elsewhere. We seemingly need to bolster our attack after Cristiano Ronaldo’s acrimonious exit in November.
