Jose Morais full of praise for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo
Speaking in an interview with A Bola as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Jose Morais, who is a former assistant of Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, was full of praise for Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for his ‘stratospheric’ abilities.
Morais, who worked as an assistant to the Special One during his time as the manager of Real Madrid said that it was one of the best moments of his coaching career to be able to manage the Portuguese superstar forward.
Ronaldo has been getting some criticism in recent days for an explosive interview that he had given a few days ago. The Portuguese superstar is receiving backlash on all fronts but he has also received support from a few.
Whilst there is absolutely no doubting Ronaldo’s credentials as a football player, his comments on Man United and the manager, Erik ten Hag have definitely left a very sour taste in the mouths of people who are supporting the club.
Ronaldo is now away on international duty with Portugal. He will be looking to help his country win a World Cup which will be the first one of his career as well as what is likely to be his last involvement in that competition.
Speaking about a player he formerly coached, Morais did say Ronaldo was a sensible and down-to-earth person.
“Working with Cristiano was one of the best moments I have as a coach. He is a fantastic person and a stratospheric player. I don’t say “UFO” because he is a human being. He would be more of a “Human of Unidentified Characteristics”. Such is the enormity of his ability and talent. To have a player like him, is to be a blessed coach. Cristiano is, without a doubt, a sensible and down to earth person”
Ronaldo might be away on international duty but his club future seems far from certain. We still don’t know if the Portuguese superstar will stay with Man United for the rest of the season or if he will be sold.
Following his comments on the club and his comments against his manager, there is a chance that the 37-year-old superstar might have already played his last ever game in a Manchester United shirt and he could be moved on.
