Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain value Marcus Rashford at around £60 million. But Manchester United feel the England international is worth £120 million, according to ESPN FC on Twitter.

PSG seem to be interested in bringing the 24-year-old to the Parc de Princes this summer. But the Red Devils evidently have no intention of selling their academy star.

United are Rashford’s boyhood club. The England international came up through the youth ranks and eventually broke into the first team. At the age of 18, the star made his debut and scored two goals.

Rashford didn’t look back from that point onwards. He became a key member of the Manchester-based club. The England international was a regular in the XI from the 2016/17 season onwards.

The 24-year-old’s best period in a red shirt came between 2019 and 2020. In the 2019/20 campaign, Rashford scored 17 goals and made nine assists in 31 Premier League appearances.

Fans expected the academy superstar to go from strength to strength from that point onwards. But the years 2021 and 2022 haven’t been kind to Rashford. His performances haven’t been up to the mark.

The 24-year-old appears to be low on confidence. The penalty miss in the Euro 2020 final appears to have got to him.

The England international struggled throughout the 2021/22 season. Rashford lost his place as a regular in the side. In 31 appearances in all competitions, the 24-year-old scored just five goals and gave two assists.

The pre-season under Erik ten Hag looked promising. Rashford looked like he was getting back to his best. But the opening game of the new season against Brighton & Hove Albion was once again a letdown.

There is a section of the United fanbase that wants him gone. But Rashford has shown in the past he’s a quality player. Ten Hag needs to put an arm around the 24-year-old’s shoulder and give him minutes. Hopefully, the England international is able to find his feet once again.
