Manchester United receive a huge boost in their attempt to sign free agent Paulo Dybala

According to the Metro, Manchester United target Paulo Dybala is considering a move to the Premier League amidst interest from several other clubs.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for English powerhouse Manchester United, has declared his intention to quit the team, causing a tumultuous scenario.

In his first season back at Old Trafford, Ronaldo ended the year as the club’s leading goal scorer. However, the Red Devils did not do him any favours in return, finishing sixth in the English Premier League.

With United playing the UEFA Europa League next season, the Portuguese seek a move away. United have been tracking the situation regarding Dybala but they could become aggressive in their pursuit if Ronaldo ends up leaving them.

Since Dybala is a free agent and is currently available, United have been in touch with his representation. However, the Red Devils are not the only team vying for his services, as Arsenal and Inter Milan are also competing for his services.

When his contract with Juventus expired at the end of last month, the 28-year-old formally became a free agent. Inter have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentina international, but they put Dybala on standby recently following Romelu Lukaku’s return.

With the high-profile departures of several stars, including Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and others and a budget that wouldn’t be infinite, it’s a wise financial move to pursue a free agent- that too someone as talented as Dybala.

Even though the Argentinian had intentions to stay in Italy, no other Serie A teams are currently considering a transfer for him despite previous interest from Roma, AC Milan, and Napoli. He will now consider the Premier League as his likely destination over La Liga

Given how infrequently elite players like Dybala become free agents, one imagines United would be wise to sign him in the midst of uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.

Even if Ronaldo remains at Old Trafford, it would be advantageous to add a player like Dybala to compete with players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for a spot in the team given their disappointing seasons lately.
