Transfer News: Manchester United could sell Dylan Levitt amid Dundee Utd interest
According to The Sun, Manchester United could decide to sell Dylan Levitt this summer amidst interest from Dundee Utd for a potential transfer. He has raised his game to newer heights, having made a considerable impact in his development at the club and country level recently.
Levitt was on loan with Dundee United last season, where he impressed with flying colours. His performances have not been overlooked as they want to buy him in this transfer window. The Red Devils could agree to a sale if their valuation of £300,000 plus bonuses is met moving forward.
However, Man United have also been provided with the option to loan the Welsh international to Cardiff City for the next season. The latter wants to take him away temporarily after being impressed with his displays. As such, it will be interesting to see the decision taken by the Premier League side when it comes to Levitt’s future.
What should Man Utd do?
The 21-year-old is knocking on the doors to earn a spot in the national team squad for the 2022 World Cup. After all, he did impress at the international level recently, with his performance against Poland in the Nations League being one such example.
As such, selling the academy prospect can be deemed a mistake as he could prove to be a superstar in the making under the right circumstances. In fact, if selling him is the only plan on the table, then it should only be done after he grows even further to get the maximum monetary benefit.
That is not the case right now, as Levitt still appears to be progressing as a player for now. He had featured as a central midfielder and in defensive midfield for Dundee last time around, scoring six goals and assisting once in the process from 29 matches across all competitions.

Hence, loaning the Man United ace would probably be a wise choice, so the Mancunians should discuss if the Scottish outfit would agree to a temporary move. If not, Cardiff is still a great option as the Championship is arguably on the same level as the Scottish Premiership.
Let’s wait and see how this situation will turn out in the coming weeks ahead of the next season. Levitt would probably not get game time with the first team for now with players like James Garner, Hannibal Mejbri and Zidane Iqbal posing competition. So an exit would be the right option but whether that will be permanent or temporary remains to be seen.
