Journo claims Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo at war with other Manchester United players
Speaking to Darren Bent’s Boot Room, as quoted by The Express, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook claimed that Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo are part of a contingent that is separate from other Manchester United players.
There is some unrest at Old Trafford at the moment. Man United might have gone through to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, but things are not as jolly off the pitch. Cristiano Ronaldo, in particular, has been a largely annoyed figure in recent weeks.
Bruno Fernandes is another player that has experienced a dip in form and often appears to be the man the entire team looks towards to change the complexion of the game. And it has now been claimed that there has been a rift between the Portuguese players in the dressing room and the other Man United players.

talkSPORT’s Alex Crook explained the situation in a little more detail recently.
“I think there are a couple of issues. Clearly, there are problems in the dressing room and we’ve seen on the back pages today that Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent is flying over because his client isn’t absolutely convinced that he made the right move in terms of adding trophies to his glittering CV.
“I’ve been told there is a definite split between the Portuguese speakers and the non-Portuguese speakers. “
More and more problems

If it is the Portuguese contingent that is at a crossroads over the current situation, then perhaps Diogo Dalot is also involved in this group. Regardless, it is not good news since the trio is a key group on and off the pitch.
Ronaldo and Fernandes were the architects behind saving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job during the start of the season. The pair were scoring goals for fun and were interlinking with each other to bail the club out of tough situations.
Dalot has also experienced newfound importance at the club following the arrival of Ralf Rangnick. Thus, upsetting this contingent is not going to go down well for anybody. However, there is little known about the reason for the rift between these two groups.

But one thing that can be ascertained is the lack of man-management. Solskjaer excelled at keeping the dressing room in a cheerful mood in the toughest of times. Rangnick is perhaps more concerned with tactics on the pitch than the ego of the big names in the locker room.

Nevertheless, these issues need to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible or they could form a real obstacle to our ambitions of finishing in the Top 4 this season. Then again, all of this is a problem given that there is a rift, to begin with.
We can perhaps actually start worrying about this ‘rift’ once there is something explicit that is done in front of our eyes to ascertain the possibility of a split, or if one of the concerned parties speaks out about it. Until then, such talks should be taken with a pinch of salt.
