European giants hatch plan to unite Messi and Man United’s Cristiano Ronaldo under one badge

Transfer News: PSG interested in signing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo amidst unrest in dressing room

According to Mercato (h/t The Sun), Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo is being targeted by PSG in a sensational move.

The 36-year-old has been incredible on his return to Old Trafford. He has banged in 14 goals in just 21 appearances and has been one of the most influential players for the club this term. However, things have gone downhill under Ralf Rangnick, and Ronaldo has already had crisis talks with his agent about his future with the Red Devils.

It has now been claimed that if the centre-forward signals that he wants to leave Man United, PSG are ready to pounce and secure a deal for the Real Madrid legend. The Parisians signed Lionel Messi in the summer and could make a dream come true for several fans if they partner the Argentinian legend with the Portuguese talisman.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had crisis talks with his agent about his future in England.

Moreover, with Kylian Mbappe primed for an exit in the coming months, the veteran striker could act as a replacement. The French club is also interested in Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski to replace their French sensation, with Man United also interested in the Borussia Dortmund ace.

Could Ronaldo actually leave Man United?

The centre-forward has rarely backed down from a fight in his life. There have been times when things have gone downhill at Real Madrid and Juventus too but he has never shied away from adversity and has often given his all to save the team.

He has bailed us out on quite a lot of occasions and looked committed to the job under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. But he looks frustrated playing under Rangnick, and the lack of service has also been eating him up in recent games, quite notably in the defeat to Wolves.

PSG are now looking to secure a deal for Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo.

There has been no verbal indication of his displeasure yet, but things change quickly in football. Ronaldo has previously stated that he wants to retire while playing at the very top of the game, and if Man United start to decline in the coming months, the Portuguese ace could jump ship- that is always a possibility considering his contract is only until the summer of 2023.

The striker may not be a part of our long-term future -given his age- but he is important for the present. Edinson Cavani shall be out of contract in the summer, while Anthony Martial has requested a transfer in January. If the 36-year-old also decides to leave, it could cause massive problems to our ambitions of getting back to the top of English football in the next couple of years.

Of course, seeing Messi and Ronaldo actually play on the same team together would be an indescribable feeling for most fans in the world. But if you don the Red of Manchester, you would hope that reunion does not come at the cost of us losing out on our main man.
