Manchester United star Victor Lindelof wore a heart monitor for two days after breathing problems
According to a blog by Maja Lindelof for Elle (h/t Football365), The wife of Victor Lindelof revealed that the Manchester United defender had to wear a heart monitor after struggling with breathing problems during the Norwich clash.
Victor Lindelof featured in Manchester United’s League game against Norwich. However, that didn’t go well with the defender’s health. The 27-year-old required medical attention in the 74th minute and had to be substituted afterwards.
United manager Ralf Rangnick revealed that Lindelof had suffered from a breathing problem during the game for which he needed to be taken out. The German manager also added that the player is stable and doing ‘OK.’
Nevertheless, we didn’t get to know the exact amount of severity of the health issue. However, his wife, Maja Lindelof, recently wrote a blog for Elle where she suggested what the family went through during the difficult times.
“It was a scary match to watch, and Victor was very cut up afterwards. Yesterday he did a lot of tests and has a heart monitor on for two days to make sure everything is OK.”
The United centre-back’s partner even pointed out the lack of communication from the club’s side.
“[It was] Incredibly uncomfortable, especially when I did not get hold of him, which I always manage to. It was a long time before I got hold of someone on the team who updated me.”
Nevertheless, the good news came in earlier today morning, when the Red Devils released a statement saying the player has recovered well.
Lindelof has become a key defender for United in recent seasons. Even though his performance hasn’t been up to the mark in the last few weeks at the club level, he had a good time with his national side.
